Sweet Surprises of Generosity
06.05.09
With all the doom and gloom in the world (thank you media) I just want to speak to the selfless generosity that I have experienced of late. As many of you know, I’m raising money to travel to Dharamsala, India in September to work with Tibetan refugees. I already knew that I had an incredible network to tap into however I am now realizing that I was not fully prepared to receive the incredible support and generosity that I have thus far.
BJ and I are racing Tri for Your Cause this weekend and the amount we have raised is nothing less than overwhelming at this point. BJ set a $150 fundraising goal and is currently over $400, I set a goal of $200 and have exceeded that as well. People are opening their hearts, wallets and minds and for those selfless acts of kindess I thank you all!
I still have quite a bit to raise but I just have to pause right now and allow all of this to be absorbed. My heart is filled with joy. Just know that your $25, $50, $100 - whatever you have donated or will donate is so much more than money to me and to the people whose lives I will affect for the better because of it.
