12 mile run

My runs continue to go very well, body feels great and I’m digging the hill training.  I’m a girl who gets bored with a flat life, I need hills in my world whether those are mental or physical.  I crave change and need variety - that’s my status quo anything less will have me less than satisfied.

Wednesday I set out for my long run of the week.  Ran up by the South Boulder rec center to the top of Leehigh, down to King Soops for a pit stop and up to the top of NCAR.  That’s a great hill.  Working to temper those quads for Cape Cod as we’ve realized this is one hilly mo’fo.

Here’s a profile comparison of a 10K course at the Boulder reservoir vs. the profile of the Cod.   As you can see there are some nice long acsents and decsent as well as one little dip below sea level.  My lungs are getting very excited for this race….
